Welcome to Year 3. 

In our first term we will learning about 'Lego'. This theme has a Science and Technology focus where children will use SPIKE Lego software to design, build, code and evaluate. Children will learn to be enterprising and innovative and to be good contributors by taking on roles and working as part of a team. 

In our second term we will be learning about the 'Iron Age Celts'. This theme has a Humanities and Expressive Arts focus. Children will visit Castell Henllys Iron Age village to learn about the day in the life of the Iron Age Celts. They will then spend the term exploring and comparing their lives to that of their ancestors. 

In our final term we will be learning about 'Rivers of Wales and the World'. This theme has a Humanities (Geography) and a Health and Wellbeing theme. Pupils will visit a Welsh river and track it from source to mouth. They will spend time developing as Ethical, Informed Citizens by looking at how they impact the environment and Healthy Confident Individuals by looking at how the environment impacts them.
