Welcome to Year 1!

We are so excited to begin a brand new adventure together filled with learning, laughter and discovery. This year, our classroom will be bursting with imagination as we explore exciting themes including Superheroes, From Swansea to Rome, and Minibeasts. We will discover what makes a real superhero, learn about brave heroes from stories and everyday life, and use our own superpowers to help others, work together and try our best. During our From Swansea to Rome topic, we will travel through time and across countries to compare life in Wales and Italy, exploring famous landmarks, food, traditions and stories from both places. In our Minibeasts topic, we will become little explorers, searching for tiny creatures in our outdoor area and learning all about their habitats and life cycles. Throughout the year we will learn through play, creativity, investigation and hands-on experiences. We cannot wait to share our exciting journey with you and make lots of wonderful memories together in Year 1.
